“I gave it a 4 but it’s really a 3.5. Good location on the water. Great view. Plenty of beds (two families, total of 9 people). Dock was ok / sufficient for a weekend. Jet ski port was great. There’s not really a fire pit at the property… it’s just a circle of concrete blocks close to two buildings with very tall grass around it. The basement ceiling is very low so even a 5’5” person has to bend down to shower. The upstairs bedroom has an exhaust fan in it, with a sign that says to turn the fan……

“No room to park even a small trailer at bottom of driveway. Boat parking IS allowed overnight at the Anderson County launch ramp. ”

“We loved our stay at Playin’ Hooky! The house was perfect for our group. They truly thought of everything when getting this house prepared for guests. They had games, toys for the kids, high chairs, detergent, etc. The only complaint I would have would be the dead bugs. Lots of carpenter bees, flies, wasps in the window sills in every room. ”

“The cabin was extremely clean and the location is perfect. It's very close to Tiki. If you plan on cooking, you will need to bring everything with you as there isn't anything there. This isn't a negative, just a reminder to plan. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!”

“This place was absolutely incredible! You can tell the owners have put lots of time and thought into making sure the stay is nothing short of amazing. The room themes are just so cool! The house was very clean, spacious, well maintained, and fully equipped with everything you may need. The host was very responsive and had great communication throughout the whole stay. The views of the lake from the house were absolutely stunning! We also rented a pontoon boat from them and the boat was in great……

“We had a great time. The cabin is exactly how it is listed online. Beautiful space outside with plenty of room for kids to run around. We really appreciated the fence that keeps kids from running down to the water. We would definitely stay here again ”

“We did not utilize the dock, but the property was nice and very peaceful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the porch with hot tub was our favorite for relaxing. The homeowner notified us of bad weather approaching and responded timely to my requests.”

“Overall 10/10 experience! We visited the Dawg Pound for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have found a better place to spend a few days! The house is very cozy, and was very clean upon arrival! The only downfall to the home is the location. We have a pretty big truck and boat and it was very scary getting to the home itself, right narrow roads and the drive way is not as big as it seems in the pictures. Overall a great place to stay, very peaceful and quiet! Awesome access to the lake!”

“Challenge to get to the place. Outdoor cushions need to be clean. One of the patio fan near the grill doesn’t work. Over all the place is nice.”

“We arrived late due to traffic and weather. When we arrived it was quite hot outside but the air was on and the cabin felt amazing. It was clean and quaint. We decided to take a soak in the hot tub after the long drive. It was clean and very pleasant. We are making a number of trips to the area. We will definitely look to see if this cabin is available during our visits. Thank you. ”
