“We had an absolute fabulous time here! The house is spacious and clean and had a well-stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook there the whole time. My feedback for future renters: plan on cooking your meals in. There are not a whole lot of restaurants around you. We stopped at Costco in Lexington on the way in a bought food for the whole week. The boat dock is an adventure! I don't think I can express how steep that hill is to get down to it! I happened to have walking sticks that we use……

“We rented this house for a family reunion at Norris and it worked perfectly! Clean, spacious, lots of outdoor space! Plenty of boat parking and we love the Whitman Hollow Marina and Froggies Bar! “The house was perfect! We had 6 adults and 4 teenage children. There was plenty of room to spread out. All 10 of us enjoyed family dinners on the outdoor deck and watched a movie on the outdoor television. We played lots of games on the lower deck. The kids loved jumping off of the 2-story dock. The hot tub was immaculate. The kitchen is well equipped for any type of dinner you would like to make. The owner, Steve, was easy to reach and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful……

“Great view! We enjoyed the hot tub with a view, played board games in the cozy bottom floor room, and enjoyed the quiet back porch upstairs for a morning coffee in the woods. So close to the water, we were able to rent a boat and get back to relaxing at the cabin quick. Thanks for having us! ”

“The house is very cozy. We enjoyed the screened in porch to be able to sit outside without bugs. We did use the fire pit two nights and made s’mores. I would agree with other reviews though. If you have mobility issues, there are a lot of steps down to the dock. The location of the dock is perfect. It’s a very quiet cove, and the kids swam every evening after boating all day. The Wi-Fi and cell service is spotty so this may not be a good place if you have to connect but for our family that was……

“Great Home near downtown in a quiet neighborhood. The home was very clean, the beds were super comfortable. The only suggestion I have is to provide more glassware for your guest.”

“Everything about Waker’s Paradise was exactly as described and we had an absolute fabulous time. We had more than enough space for our group of 22. Our group has been traveling together for 10 years and this was without a doubt the best stocked house in the kitchen with everything you could need. We will be back!”
