“Fantastic home, fantastic location. We've stayed in Damascus many times over the years. This is by far the best rental ever. The host has thought of everything. We wanted for nothing. I absolutely recommend this stay.”

“More difficult to get to since hwy. 58 closed at Damascus. Pretty drive taking the long way. Too bad the Virginia creeper trail closed, I was able to go down until the first washed out bridge at green cove. Enjoyed the quiet stay.”

“Everything was great! We never did manage to ride our bikes all the way up Vails Mill Rd., but was able to ride once we got closer to the top. Proximity to Creeper Trail was a bonus. The trip from Abingdon to Damascus is an awesome ride or just the ride to Alvarado Station and back is great. Ride in to town, look and shop and come back to the cabin and grill burgers. Burgers on a charcoal grill in the mountains taste better that you can ever imagine! As awesome trip in an awesome cabin. Life is……

“The cabin was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. Easy access to Hungry Mother SP for hiking. Super comfy bed and the hot tub has an awesome set up under the trees. The whole cabin site was fantastic!”

“For some one that is in recovery from triple by pass there are no railings for the steps,I had to use my family to get up the stairs. All the guniture was hard to get out of with having a pectoral flip done. The bathroom was difficult with everything being so low to the ground. I know it is not the property owner just would have been nice to know before renting. It is a great place peacful, lobed the fireplaces the outdoor fire pit was all fantastic property owner explained everything in the……

“The best part for us was the quiet, privacy, and view that allowed us to relax. The cute cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. The two porches had an amazing view. The walk down to the lake on the well-constructed stairs and landings to the dock was a hidden gem. We even caught some fish and would like to return again.”

“The mountain is so beautiful and removed from the chaos of city life. The drive up the mountain is a bit scary but as long as you follow the notes from Terry, it’s completely manageable for an SUV. I have a Jeep Wrangler and had no issues. It’s perfect for someone who just wants to get away. ”

“I stayed for the week while my daughter was at a camp in E&H. This is the place if you’re into hiking or biking. The cabin has a wonderful deck, spacious livingroom, comfy beds and all the kitchen supplies.There were even snacks!!”

“We were celebrating our daughter’s 18th birthday with her friends and she is hitting the Appalachian Trail next year so she wanted to attend Trail Days. This cabin was a perfect place for both celebrating and getting much needed rest after a long day. My only suggestion is that you upgrade your pics because they do not do the cabin’s beauty justice. ”

“Everything was top-notch! The cabin is extremely well-appointed and exceptionally clean. Alergies aside, don't let the description pet friendly deter you from staying here without a pet. Due to the cleanliness, you could not even tell that pets have stayed here. We did have our dog with us and appreciated the little amenities such as food and water bowls, a crate inside the cabin and an enclosed porch to keep pets safe while they enjoy the outdoors with you. “Perfect getaway in VA! Hosts were very great about check in/out details days before. Was so quiet and secluded yet equipped with the essentials to make stay wonderful, even local soaps! Cabin is quite a bit away from store so make sure you grab groceries before the stay or you will have to travel! This was a great location for Grayson Highlands Park, Mt. Roger’s recreation and Demascus adventures! ”

“I just completed a four night stay with a friend at "Little Bear" and loved every minute of it! The cabin is in a secluded and absolutely beautiful mountain location. The cabin is immaculately clean, very comfortable and cozy. it was fully stocked with everything I needed for my stay. Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. ”
