The next morning we awoke to a rising creek and hurricane Helene’s wrath. We lost power, trees were falling around us and the water continued to rise. We were amazed and moved that the host came to the property to see how we were doing. By noon it was apparent that the town of Damascus and the home we were in was in serious danger of being……

“We spent a wonderful week in Damascus. We were in the middle of a walkable and friendly town. Everything we wanted and needed for entertainment, dining and shopping was close by along with many friendly people who were eager to share the history of this great town.”

“We were in town for the Iron Mountain Trail Race. This spot is in walking distance to the start/finish with a view of the creeper trail from the shared deck space. Also several restaurants and breweries in walking distance. Clean, quiet, and comfortable.”

“Excellent place to stay right on the VA Creeper Trail. There is as much peace and quiet on top of this mountain as you can find anywhere on the planet. We saw the Milky Way stretch all the way across the sky. There are thousands more stars visible at night with no light noise to interfere. Everything we needed for our stay was nicely provided. Owner communicated excellently. Would recommend you book it now if your dates are available.”
