“I booked 2 nights with my parents and grandparents at the island girl getaway. It was possibly the best beach experience I’ve had yet. Tangier is an incredible island rich with history and certainly worth a visit. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the caretaker, Andy was very helpful and kind. We happened to come to the island when the tides were unusually high occasionally throughout the day, yet I would note that our house seemed to be the only one which had no water near it……

“ We looked at many properties that were on the water, secluded, and pet friendly. No other option came close. Zero city. All views, stars, water, peace and quiet. Complete with full wrap around fence for the dogs to roam free. Perfect off season location to relax and recharge. Host was easily reachable and we had zero issues. The view from the master bedroom is incomparable. ”

“This house and property are beautiful. It is very secluded and right on the water. The house was spotless when I arrived and has everything you need or want. The pool is huge. I had an awesome stay and I cannot wait until I go back in August!”

“We stayed to do a fishing tour in the bay, and it was perfect. It was extremely clean, and we loved the layout. It had plenty of space for our family. It has a nice dock and a fire pit in the backyard. Overall, there are only good things to say about this property. If you are planning a visit to the area, it is well worth it!”

“This was my family's 4th time staying at the Sand Castle so I don't have much to add since my previous reviews. We did not notice that the listing had changed since we had booked and were sorry to see that the bunkbeds had been removed but we worked things out. Also the beach has changed quite a bit and the sand disappears completely at high tide now. This is obviously not related to VRBO or the homeowner, just something future renters may want to know. We still had a good time, we just had to……

“This is such a sweet home in a great neighborhood. We came up for a short fishing trip in the bay and were so happy with the location and the house. The property is close to restaurants, grocery stores, and boat launches. It is an older home, so it does have a few quirks but overall has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I can’t say enough good things about the owner. He is so kind and responsive which made our trip that much more enjoyable. ”
