“Two old friends shared five days at this wonderful home, enjoying the full moon, the nightly fires, and the sunsets! We went into Galena each day for history browsing and great lunches (Bread and Vine was our favorite...) and one day drove north for a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. But our favorite part of the stay was being in the house, surrounded by the natural beauty and rekindling our friendship.”

“We enjoyed a few nights over Spring Break. The house was the perfect size with a nice lay out. It felt private due to its location among the trees. Some minor details would have improved our stay (for example extra sets of towels and items for the kitchen such as tin foil and storage containers). There was also a very slow drain in the bathroom on the first floor. Overall, we liked the house and the listing was accurate. ”

“Beautiful home with amazing views! Lots of room and things to do in the area. Loved watching the horse riders walk on the trail behind the home. We didn’t end up using the fire pit but there was wood available if we had. Kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and linens. Beach towels were also available or for the hot tub. ”

“Thoroughly enjoyed every moment at your beach condo! Every detail was thought of, and we truly appreciated the warm, inviting comfort of the condo. My personal favorite was the backyard view, complete with a little stream, a historic red barn, and the sound of the birds in the morning. Slept so well all three nights, and the sheets, mattress, and blankets were divine! Thank you for aharing uour slice of heaven with us!”

“My wife and I, our four kids and four grandkids did a ski weekend and stayed in the Galena Territories. This house was the best! Having a bathroom in each bedroom was a very nice convenience. Everyone enjoyed sitting in the spa outside with snow on the ground.The owners were friendly, easy to connect with and were are super responsive when needed! Already planning an adult golf weekend and will be back in this house if it's available!”

“Beautiful view of Galena; historic home gave us a good feel for living well in the 1850s (except for modern conveniences); easy drive to downtown.We would not recommend this home if you need a walker, wheelchair, or other walking aids; parking in the back alley was a bit of a challenge for our mid-size SUV.Overall, we had a pleasant stay.”

“The Log Cabin was so cozy and clean and the hot tub and pool table were such a nice bonus. Would highly recommend! ”

“This was prefect for us. It is a nice walk into town, so there is no need to try and find a parking spot. Although on the main road through town, it is very quite and even with others in the home, we did not hear anyone else. ”
