“My mom and I came from Texas to host a baby shower and stayed at the Bird House—it was the perfect getaway. The home is beautifully decorated, solidly built, and very peaceful. My mom, who keeps odd hours and is hard of hearing, loved it, and I couldn’t hear her at all from upstairs!When she accidentally locked herself out, Stacy responded right away and was so kind and helpful.One thing to note: my 6’4” husband hit his head on the ceiling going up the stairs—charming old house, but not built……

“The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, and it is well stocked. I wonder about the cleaning before new guests check in because the regular coffeemaker basket was full of wet grounds, and we had to run clear water through several times to get clean. Someone had filled their own Keurig cups because the Keurig and also had to be cleaned out. There was no remote for the living room ceiling fan or the back bedroom, and we could not use them. “Almost wish I had a horse or two... but it was just family. Lovely neighborhood, and while it appears to be on the outside of Tucson, is very close to supermarkets and restaurants. Great size... I had to work, and was able to go to the living room late night, work and watch TV and not disturb anyone.”

“We put on a lot of miles in 4 days, we visited Coronado, Chiricahua, Fort Bowie, Tumacacori, Saguaro, and Organ Pipe Cactus (on our way back to Phoenix). This location worked well for our day trips and the house was great. Ice Cream at The Corner Scoop in Sonoita was fantastic, as was the wine we picked up from Dos Cabezas WineWorks.The only negative we experienced was barking dogs at night, pretty much every night, most of the night it seemed.
