“We were looking for a house with two bedrooms and two baths for a girlfriends getaway weekend to visit the Geauga County Maple Festival. Thistle was located easily within walking distance of the square as well as all local county attractions were easily accessible. I live in Atlanta now but grew up in Chardon.The house had character and comfort. While it was too cool to take advantage of the ample outside area, outdoor seating for warmer weather abounds. “Best of all, I loved the bathroom which reminded me of ours except in a different color. Very quiet neighborhood; all we could hear was the wind in the trees. Went to bed early and woke up early. “My daughter and I stayed at the rental while in the area for some family get togethers. The location was perfect for our needs. It was easy to access with plenty of parking. The kitchen was easy to cook in with plenty of plates and dishes. The second bedroom is very small. We made it work, but much better suited for a child than an adult. Mantua is a cute country town and it is just down the road.”
