“We have stayed at this villa for one week in October sharing it with 25 people - all friends and family. It is a very unique property: the setting is farm-like (in the middle of a lemon tree grove) and the grounds are well-maintained and very spacious with two pool areas and a garden terrace for meals. “Stunning villa. We loved the pool bar with ice machine and fridge. Pool very refreshing. All the bedrooms huge with aircon and all ensuite bathrooms huge. Nearby Ferdinando restaurant very nice food , worth pre-booking to sit outside., very nice Etna vino bianco. Sigma supermarket near A18 had nice wines. Kids liked Netflix on the TV. Note that they charge 5Euros to take lift out of the gorge so better to take steps back out. Would love to come back to this villa and village , very italian,……

“Ideallic house with breathtaking views. House is very well equipped and comfy. Far lovlier than the pictures can give credit. Great access to the Alcantara Gorge and a lovely restaurant close by. Giuseppe, the key holder, was very helpful and passionate about the local area. Road leading to the property is a little hairy but to be expected given the remote location. It is essential to have a car staying here as amenities are a drive away. Bit longer than 10 minutes to get to Taormina. Showers……

“Amazing views from this home! Very nice kitchen that we used to cook a few meals over the Christmas holiday. Beautiful sunny weather in Taormina in December and spent time out on the South patio in the sun. Town of Taormina was very nice and could either drive down to parking garage just outside of town or could walk to town in 12 min. Good food in Taormina and many restaurants were open over the holidays. Very pleased with our stay at Villa La Gorgone!”

“Antonio was an amazing host and the house was perfect for our needs. It was spacious and the views were incredible!! Antonio’s mother was so accommodating and greeted us even though it was nearly 3am by the time we arrived, on a night before work! She had provided us with snacks and homemade bread. She ended up making us a tarimasu, a homemade lasagna and fried zucchini all of which were amazing!!! The pool was a perfect escape from the heat and overall just an amazing experience. “Wonderful girls trip to eastern Sicily. The house made the trip. We didn’t have a car and could earlier get into Taormina by cab. We set up yours through Handy Sicily and they were wonderful too. Can’t say how much fun we had. Big pool plenty of space. Perg”

We used the pool daily and just loved the communication with the owner and Mathilde were great. Mathilde could not be more accommodating with suggestions and helping with some minor issues.
