“This place is peaceful and secluded the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept it comfortable you have everything you need to heat up food or keep it cold the view of the river is great and we enjoyed setting on the porch and watching the river and deers that walk right through the yard! The only things I may would change is the chairs on the porch. There is a fire pit also across the road but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it because of rain. ”

“This place isn’t just “beautiful luxury cabin in the woods” because even though there are houses nearby, you truly feel like you’re alone as you sit out on the deck, soaking in the peace and quiet. The house itself is beautiful inside, with plenty of space to gather and enjoy. We loved relaxing on the porch, spending time in the main living room, and coming together in the kitchen around the island as we cooked our meals. Every room felt private and quiet, which made for such a relaxing……

“What an amazing cabin with so many great amenities. This was just what we needed wish we had more days to stay. Everything from the booking, the listing, communication with host, to the gift basket. Whiskey Acres is definitely worth checking out. Andrew was wonderful in making sure we needed nothing and everything was perfect. “The communication leading up to the visit was wonderful. The cabin is nicely stocked and the solitude was needed. We loved the property and walking my dog along the well marked path was fantastic. The Weber grill was great. So impressed with this cabin and so happy we stayed there. Thanks!”

Afternoons were an easy 10 minute drive to enjoy the theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Several deer sighting (be cautious driving). ”

“The house was clean and the host answered message right away. There are a couple things people should know. Artifical scented plug ins were in the house. This was a problem until I found and unplugged them. I can't be around those types of scents as it causes migraine type headaches. The front yard is overgrown weeds. At first glance I was disappointed at the sight but it was just along the road. The house was nice. We didnt use the hot tub due to weather.”

“Overall, we had a great stay! There was plenty to do in the local area, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The game room was a lot of fun—the ping pong table was a big hit for us adults; however, the foosball table would probably be more enjoyable for kids, as it is on the smaller side.
