“Classic hostel, the bed in the share dorm is basic, nothing special, each has their own reading light and outlet, no bed curtain. One pillowcase and two sheets are on the bed when you arrive, one of the sheet is mean to be as blanket (summer time), but there are also thicker/warmer blankets in the room that you can use. It would be better if the bathroom has some renovate. The front desk staff was super friendly, I felt very welcome. ”

“The hostel is 10 minutes walk from the Milan Duomo. The staff is nice, continental breakfast is basic but sufficient. Stayed in a 8 people dormitory on first floor. Loud music is played in the common/dining area and one can hear it on Friday and Saturday nights till 1am.”

“Extra hidden costs needs to be payed on arrival, no way of avoiding these since they are not optional services. No hot water and when asked about it, the response was to try another bathroom. You get one sheet which works as both the bed sheet and the cover which had holes in it. No keys to the doors to the rooms, all doors was unlocked all the time. Bathroom door couldn't be locked. There is a fan in the room but the condition of that was well past its expiration date, it made a terrible noise.”

“Stayed at the hotel as had to be close to the hospital. It was clean, comfortable and convenient for my purpose. It is a bit of way from the city centre.”

“My three main issues with this place are that, AC is controlled remotely so I couldn’t change the temperature of the room. Secondly I didn’t like that all the soap facilities were empty on my first day and finally I hated how i had to choose between charging my phone overnight or having the light off. “Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. You can hear the kitchen working from the room but it’s usually quiet by midnight and starts up around 8 in noise. I did not mind this since I was out and about most of the……
