“This is a great cabin located in a nice private setting, with the ocean literally feet from the door. We enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing and we got to see the full Hunter Moon rising right over the ocean. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the kitchen had everything you could need. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor/Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula, Lubec and Campobello Island. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat. ”

“10/10 Understand that this is a quintessential rustic cabin in Northern Maine. If you understand that: you will thoroughly enjoy this cabin. A slice of Maine cultural history. The property manager has excellent communication and was so kind to mail my daughter’s clothing back to us! The property is everything you would ever want and need for an isolated cabin on a lake. I didn’t mind the 45 min drive to Acadia and back, as it showcases the diversity of Northern Maine (farms, lobsters/sea,……

“We had a lovely stay at this house. The beds were comfortable. We had small children, and the rooms were quiet. The downstairs has a lot of space and separate living rooms for people to have quiet time. We cooked many meals, and the kitchen worked well. Jane was a great communicator, making everything so easy. She even left us lovely snacks to get us started. Highly recommend”

“The location is fantastic. It was an easy 1/2 mile walk to the center of town, making it really convenient to hop on the Island Explorer or go to dinner in town. It was a good amount of space, with a reasonably sized living room for the 4 of us and it was great to also have a full-size kitchen. There were apparent signs of wear and tear on the house that slightly detracted from the atmosphere. This included a tear in the wall in the kitchen and the need for a fresh coat of paint throughout……

“The property is under construction, which is only disclosed after booking. The floors are unfinished, some items (undermount microwave) are visible but not yet installed and it feels like you’re living through a renovation, e.g. bathroom mirror was installed and the drywall has not been sanded. The location is great - quiet and away from the crowds. The size for two humans and two large dogs was good. The downstairs bedroom has a mattress that was purchased circa 1985 and it’s very springy,……

“Old school warm cozy cottage! Great host and very clean! Love the view and the sunsets. We saw seals and an Eagle. Watched the Lobsterman return from their journey. This was our 3rd visit and will definitely be coming back. ”

“Cons: -No response from management about issues -Refrigerator had a bad leak -Wrong internet password provided. Try to contact them but nobody ever got back to me with right information. -Mold in the bathrooms - roped spring box - Spider webs everywhere. And spiders Overall dirty place Pros: Location”
