“We had a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor! This rental home was very beautiful and had everything you could want or need. It is within walking distance to the shops, coffee, the waterfront and the grocery store. If it wasn’t for a few rainy, cold days, we probably would have walked everywhere! “ We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. But, that said, for just 2 of us,……

It started walking in and finding a basket of freshly made popovers, a jar of Maine blueberry jam, and a card with our names on it with a handwritten note from the host welcoming us.There is a 12-14 page binder with everything about the house such as how to operate appliances, the weekly generator test time, local grocery stores, restaurants, and any other detail you could think……
