“We came here for stargazing because this area has a fairly dark sky on the dark sky maps, and it was cloudy and rainy the whole time — BUT!!! This home was wonderful, warm, cozy and comfortable. A terrific place to come back to after a rainy day hike. We watched movies, played games, completed jigsaw puzzles, all courtesy of the thoughtfulness of the home owner. A wonderful, charming home. “We planned the trip around seeing Acadia NP; Corea was a bit of a drive (especially after driving from Buffalo, NY to Maine but we could not pass up staying at this rental property! We looked at so many places but the view from the living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, porch was too beautiful to miss out. My kids got the final say and really did so well. So clean, beautifully decorated, well supplied, everyone had enough room to relax and have quiet time. The furniture placed to enjoy all……

“I would give this property 100 stars if I could! Best VRBO I have ever stayed. It is immaculate, private, well appointed with floor to ceiling windows looking over the tidal basin. The tidal water changes are a show in themselves and the wildlife adds to its splendor. The gas fireplace warmed the rooms when the air cooled in the evening. Full kitchen to eat-in and use. A perfect size home for a couple or two. Bar Harbor and Acadia NP are a short drive, and Hancock has many hiking options. But……

“We feel like we won the lottery! This place was exactly as portrayed and exactly what we wanted. Cozy, comfortable, relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedding was comfortable. We enjoyed walking the quiet streets of Corea and meeting neighbors. The locals we met were pleasant, helpful and willing to share their stories of life in the area. “our family loved this house, which made this vacation a favorite. it’s set farther away from the tourist spots, but on the water, close to schoodic portion of acadia np and space for our family and dog to enjoy the outdoors and fish. there’s also a nearby lake (jones pond) that the kids loved swimming. beautiful kitchen and grill for home meals. and my wife was able to do some remot work and telecons with no issues. owner was kind and responsive, - thank you!”
