“We were very impressed and happy with our accommodations. The home was just as it appears in the pictures, clean and cozy. The location was beautiful. We sat each morning at the waters edge watching the sun warm the day and enjoyed a fire in the evening watching the moon and stars dance upon the bay. Would not hesitate to spend time here again! “We drove 29 hours from our home in East Texas to get the full Maine experience for our eldest son’s high school graduation trip. This home was EXACTLY what we were hoping for!!! We wanted to be able to hike Acadia National Park but also be away from the craziness of the city life. This home is nestled in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful ocean view and a backyard fire pit that you can sit around and listen to nature and hang out with family. We had zero issues finding the home and……

“What a wonderful property and boat. You could not ask for a more beautiful view along the wrap around deck. The house was immaculate and our only complaint was we wished we could have stayed longer. We had our fur babies with us as well and the deck had a gate that allowed them to run around and have a blast. Truly a fantastic property and I hope to be able to visit again.”

“The property was very pretty and comfortable. Roomy and relaxing! The views on a clear day were gorgeous! Quiet and private, but close to town so that you can pick up necessities or eat out. Only @ 35 mins to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Only two minor issues - the step on the side deck needs better 'warning'. I knew it was there but still missed it twice because your eyes are drawn to the lake view (maybe a mat?). And there was no mat inside the guest shower so it was a bit slick.……

“Plenty of room for all of us to have some alone time, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful panoramic views. This is a sunny spot, and the weather was perfect all week! It could use another umbrella for shade because the deck is full sun most of the day, but we sat at a picnic table on the shady side of the house to get some reprieval. Charlie delivered lobsters every other day, and at $5/lb we certainly over indulged! The house is older, and has a ton……

A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. One the most enticing aspects of this rental was access to the kayaks which were listed as an amenity in the original posting. As our vacation approached, I reviewed the listing details & noticed details had changed, including the removal of kayaks.
