“Brockway Mountain is an incredible location with views to take the breath away. The house is situated in a uniquely beautiful spot with wonderful scenery above the trees and the lake. There is a trade-off between convenience and the incredible beauty and peace of mountain living. Visitors should be prepared for "off the grid" living; we stayed in September, and on cloudy days there was no solar power after sunset. There is a generator that adds power but it is very noisy; a quieter generator……

“The house was clean, warm and comfortable. The kitchen had everything a family of 5 adults needed to prepare and eat meals. Mt. Bohemia was an easy 20min drive away. The roads were well maintained and plowed first thing in the morning after getting 12” of snow. We would stay there again.”

“We had a great short weekend at this property. A couple of things we noticed that brought down the rating just a bit - some of the dishes were put away dirty (seemed to have oil or butter on them) and the dishwasher didn’t seem to get dishes fully cleaned. We also noticed that anytime the stovetop was on it would make the smoke alarms go off (food was not burnt or smoky, it just happened immediately after turning the burners on) unless the stove vent fan was on which was kind of concerning. ”

“The Copper Harbor Peninsula is so quiet this time of year, exactly what I was looking for. The well-equipped house was easy to find and access and perfectly set up. It was just me this trip - hoping to spot some aurora - and this was a perfect getaway. The view of the lake was great, I enjoyed the deck on the couple days weather allowed. “A fabulous place to stay while we were visiting our son at MTU. We made it a family vacation and the property was amazing. Plenty of room for our family of five.
