“First I was afraid because of the coments I´ve read about the street noise. But there is none at night. The hotel is really close to a small road. But it doesn´t bother at all. Nice and quiet place to stay and explore Tuscany. I loved the hotel, the breakfast, the restaurant near and the restaurant at the city. The hotel is close to a small city. From there, I went to Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza. 30 minutes by car for the first place.”
“This pristine and beautiful property took our breath away upon arrival. Five star service and amenities abound. Our suite was stunning and well appointed. We felt as if we stepped back in time and were reminded of what outstanding service and accommodations should be like ~ a much needed respite after a busy week in Florence. The restaurants were outstanding. Top notch property and my husband referred to Borgo Santo Pietro as the most beautiful hotel he’s ever stayed at. So very grateful. The……
“very big room. antique equipment. fairly good breakfast. the swimming pool is small, but the view is very nice. we didn't have dinner in the restaurant, but it smells really nice. recommend this hotel as long as you drive.”
“The room is big and the city is lovely. but it's really really troublesome to park the car due to the hotel is located in ZTL zone. You have to park your car somewhere outside of the old town, and walk to the hotel to figure out how to park, then get a green card from the reception to display it on your windshield to avoid being fined by the police when drive in to unload the luggage, then drive out of the old town to find a parking space, then walk back to the hotel (6-8 mins walk). It's even……
“This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.”
“Location wise, it is right in the center of Siena and is close to all the tourist attraction points. It is also the only five star hotel within the walls of Siena. The hotel is well equipped, and since we booked the best suite in the hotel, the view from it is spectacular. The suite is spacious, the interior is of an European style but with a modern touch, room service is excellent and all the staffs are super friendly. We particularly wishes to thank the front desk because they helped to……
“This is the 4th time we stayed in this hotel . I love the fact that it’s like a retreat hotel . You are there to relax and soak yourself to the natural hot spring . The restaurant have fabulous healthy breakfast and dinner . I love Val D’Orcia . It’s a relaxing town with beautiful scenery and same time so close to Montalcino and the surrounding well known and one of the best Brunello makers . Not forget to mention the underrated but very nice town , San Querico . Also love the neighbor Pienza .……
“Overall great. It was a bit colder when we went. I wish they put heat lamps in outside seating areas in the evenings. I did ask and they put one but it needed time to heat up.
But other than that - amazing stay! ”
