“Although this property is a little far from “touristy”attractions, it is exactly what one hopes for on vacation. The house and property has all the amenities you could hope for; hot tub, community pool, beach and more. We loved spending time together in the backyard and watching the fish jump as the sun set. Our family enjoyed our stay immensely and my son is already asking when we can come back. ”

“This is a lovely quiet property on the water. It was the best supplied property I’ve ever stayed in with food in the cupboard and fridge and bath room toiletries, even an extra toothbrush. (Good thing because I forgot mine.) There’s plenty of room to spread out and even a pool table. Highly recommended for your next trip to this wonderful little corner of the world. ”

“This cottage was perfect! Very comfortable, everything we needed was available! The location to the Yorktown waterfront was our favorite thing. We took a walk every evening to the water. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Yorktown area! ”

“This river house is very spacious. It is located on a lush, secluded lot with private beach and private boat deck. We had 9 guests. The open layout is ideal for socializing, and there are plenty of spaces available when you wanted more privacy. The location was a short drive to a beautiful local golf course, to the town of Urbana, and some great restaurants on the water.We rented a pontoon boat and cruised around the river, docking the boat right on the private beach. “Donna and Mike were such good hosts. They've compiled a binder with just about everything you need to know about the island, the area, restaurants, etc. The cottage feels like home, and it's proximity to the York River provided lovely views, as well as a wide array of birds, from eagles to osprey to herons and more. The cottage was so comfortable that we didn't even mind being rained in for a day. ”

“Great area to stay! Short Walking distance to Waterfront with beach, food, and shops. Free Trolley also available. Very Friendly area! Close to Yorktown Visitor Center, short drive to American Revolutionary War Museum and Battlefields. Cottage was very clean and spacious. However, bathrooms are kinda small and shower doesn’t have strong water pressure. There is only one bedroom with a door, other bed is in open area outside bedroom. We enjoyed a short stay for our anniversary weekend. ”

“Wonderful location for our first visit! Comfortable and clean. The only problem we had was connecting to the WiFi. Had to go to library to download books on my Kindle.”
