“Lovely little cabin. Would be nice to have a larger back porch with screen since the creek and a small waterfall is so beautiful to look at and enjoy the sound. Inner tubes were in the basement with the laundry so we enjoyed a float on the creek. ”

“For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. “Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect).
