“The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay.”

“This was just a one-night stopover on our way to a family reunion in Oregon, but it was really pleasant. Google maps took us to a neighboring apartment complex (across the backyard fence from the home) but once we found our way, everything was really nice. Also appreciate the property's dog-friendly policy! We used the BBQ, had a nice dinner, slept well (thanks to the AC, which worked well and quickly), and were on our way. Thanks again!”

“We had an absolutely spectacular birthday weekend for my wife. The house is completely out on its own—you can’t see another structure wherever you look. The photos honestly don’t do the view justice. It’s gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, the master bedroom is as comfortable as you could hope for (we didn’t use any of the guest rooms), and the hot tub is really the highlight of the property. We’re almost certainly going to go back. The host, Michael, was responsive and……

“Perfect place for big group of 16. We have rented this place twice now and have had a great time both stays! Has everything for a big grout of guys or a few families. Everything is just nice enough to not worry about breaking something. Pool is too cold for October though. A heated pool would make the place even better. We will probably be back a some point.”
