“Loved the house, the area and the lake. House is as described, lake is lovely, tons of things to do just at the house and almost hard to leave and explore the area! Our families threw a dart at the map this year for our vacation and we ended up with one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Indian and Mountain View Lakes are hidden gems in the Adirondacks and the house is full of history and tradition. Thanks to the owners for sharing this house! ”

“The house itself was beautiful, and the location on the lake was picturesque. There were undoubtedly several aspects that needed improvement before I could recommend this rental to anyone else. First of all, an error in the provided directions to the property caused us to travel about two hours in the wrong direction before we realized the mistake. A few key things were missing that would have improved our stay, including pillowcases on one of the beds, a coffee maker, baking trays, wine opener,……

“We had a wonderful experience at Susan and Greg’s cabin on Upper Chateaugay Lake. The sunsets were as good as advertised, and the mountain and lake themed decor was absolutely conducive to a soothing, rustic experience. The unit was very well furnished from pots and pans, to comfortable bedding, to personal watercraft, an inviting fire pit, genuine Adirondack chairs, to an inviting lawn swing overlooking the lake. “The house is charmingly decorated in cabin style and appears to have been recently updated. Many of the appliances seemed new and they all worked well. Furnishings were comfortable, and the laundry and kitchen were all well supplied with the items we needed. Being able to use the kayaks to explore the Narrows was really special! The hosts were helpful and responded to our few questions promptly. This is a beautiful area, and a really comfortable base to explore it from. ”
