“My family and I stayed here for a night while we were visiting the area and taking our toddler to knoebels. After a long day at the park we arrived and everything was so clean and the fans and air conditioning was on inside. It was immediately comfortable and we were able to set up our toddlers cot in our room and get everything ready as well as whip up some dinner in the kitchen. “I was home by myself with my kids for the weekend and wanted to do something fun with them. We had an absolute BLAST! Let me just say… the view over the creek is GORGEOUS. It was like out of a magazine and when we arrived. “We really enjoyed our stay at the Elk Creek Escape. The pictures were very accurate to the current cabin. The hosts were responsive before our stay and when we were on our way. “We stayed one night and had plans to hike the following day. Our service dog adored the property (and all of the deer)! Cabin suprised us in size compared to photos. Our girls took the bed and we stayed in the livubg area and no complaints at all! The cabin was cutely decorated and there were even snacks and beverages stocked. We all agreeded we would love to return and would highly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet place within close proximity to the trails. There is even a cute ice……

“The house had everything we needed and more. It is located near Reptiland, the Hiawatha Riverboat, Pine Creek Gorge, and other family friendly attractions. There were plenty of places to eat out. The ice cream shop around the corner was a favorite stop. The kids loved the arcade but the real treasure was the scenic creek just steps away. It was the perfect location for kayaking and fishing with newbies.”

“The check-in was very easy, we received the code before leaving and punched it in when we arrived and had no issues. The fireplace in the living room had a remote, and you could set the thermostat from the wall. It is a great location, a very quiet spot in the woods, we even saw deer in the back yard, but also close to town and local events. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bed was very comfortable. It was the perfect blend of rustic with all the modern conveniences.”
