“We recently spent a long weekend at Buckhorn Lodge. Our primary reason for choosing it was the mountain location and 57 acres. Even going in with high expectations, they were exceeded!The lodge itself is a great blend of rustic and comfortable, up on a ridge with a great view. The real star however was the property. We never left the property and spent our days hiking and exploring. According to my GPS watch, there's nearly 4 miles of gravel roads and hiking trails, including a favorite trail……

The fenced in side yard was awesome to be able to let my dog out with out a leash and let him run around. The cabin is cozy and comfortable with a view of the river across the street. The owners were lovely people and very responsive to any questions I had. This is going to be my go to place to stay when I go back to the folk school. ”

“We absolutely loved the cabin on the Nottely River. Brantz & Gail have a true gem. The cabin is a few feet from the banks of the river. It's absolutely gorgeous. The cabin itself is so beautiful and meticulously clean. I'm a neat freak & whomever cleans the cabin is beyond fantastic. It is stocked with literally any supply for cooking you could want, from pots and pans, to spices to utensils, dishes, you name it. You literally want for nothing. The home is so organized. No cobwebs, dust,……

“For starters the game room was the best I’ve experienced so far. It kept our kids busy the entire time. The adults had fun as well. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The creek was beautiful and calming. Let’s just say that the walk back was invigorating. Nobody was joking about how steep that hill is, but I enjoyed it because I could exercise off all the food that we cooked in the well appointed kitchen. We will definitely go back.”
