“We really enjoyed our stay. We had one hiccup with the code for the front door not working, but the owners communicated immediately to get us in! We really liked the fenced in yard for our dog and the fire pit with fire wood so easily accessible. One thing we learned about Harper’s Ferry is the abundance of gnats!!! Bring your bug spray!! Loved this house! ”

“It’s a great place for a quick stay. Easy to get into. The steps to get into the main area are a little tough especially without a way to block them off such as a baby gate. Beds were soft, well stocked kitchen for easy use of items, relatively clean, very nice having laundry on site as well. Owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with.”

“Great, easy to find location. Nancy was a great communicator A wonderful option for us, as we were in the area for a wedding in Sharpsburg where overnight accommodations were a bit slim. Shepherdstown was a cute town with lots of cute local shops and places to eat. Would stay here again! ”

“Six long time friends stayed at Laurel Cottage from 5/16 to 5/19/25. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has all you need for your stay! The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is about a 20 minute walk to downtown, but a quick car ride. There are many hiking trails and a bike path to enjoy. The Rabbit Hole is a good place to eat in downtown Harper’s Ferry with a great beer selection. Bolivar Bakery is a 10 minute walk……

“Pretty farm house! Although, there were some issues. The listing stated air conditioning. We only had air conditioning in the kitchen/living room . However, upstairs the bedrooms did not. For the bedroom, we had ceiling fans/windows, which the windows had to stay open and the house is on a busy street, which you hear the traffic .
