“We stayed here over the 4th of July! It was in a great location in the heart of Effingham right above a great little speakeasy and just a couple blocks from Joe Sippers for morning coffee. It looked exactly like the pictures — a big bright, open loft in a historic building that somehow still managed to feel modern and cozy. It’s one of those places that feels like being at home even though you’re away, especially with a well appointed kitchen with all the basic utensils and supplies for cooking.……

“The only instruction to pick up the key was to pick it up at the office, and if there was any trouble after hours, to call the maintenance man. I arrived at 11pm due to traffic delays, and the office was locked with no instruction on how to get the key. I made several calls and texts each to the host and the maintenance man. 30 minutes later, the host texted back saying the maintenence man was asleep, and she apologized for my inconvenience.
