“A positive for this home is its location. Negative for this place is its location. It’s great because you can walk to restaurants, bars, museums, and the river. The negative about the location is that it’s right on a busy highway. Less than 10 feet from the road. Unfortunately loud construction was also being done right across the highway. The host was very accommodating to our needs. They were able to program our heating system from their phone as we could not make any changes on the property..……

“We loved this house! It's older, but well kept up and very charming! We had a group of 12, and there was plenty of sleeping room. Its a very short walk to downtown Hannibal, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. We enjoyed the shops, museums, restaurants/bars, riverboat, and the ghost tour, and we walked everywhere! Would definitely stay here again with a large group! We didn't have any issues, so we didn't communicate with the host, Barry, during our stay, but he was a great communicator,……

“Great house for a getaway with childhood friends. Roomy home. Beautifully decorated. Everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood. Driveway fits 4 cars. Large backyard. (Raining, so we didn't get to use the firepit). ”

“We are 7 sisters aged 50-76. We had a wonderful stay at the Yellow Rose. This beautiful old home had rooms and beds for all of us. Would definitely stay here again”

“The inside of the property was wonderful. Perfect for what we needed. Great dining room table for games. Two comfortable couches for chatting on. Beds a little too soft for my husband. OK for me. Nice and close to downtown. Only negative was the neighborhood was a little run down and there was broken glass on the sidewalk.”

“Riverside Inn. The property was right by the Mississippi River! I could see the Mark Twain Riverboat and the bridge going to Illinois from my window. Super close to downtown shops but go early since almost everyone closes at 5 pm or earlier! I thought it would be noisy having a restaurant on the first floor but it wasn’t. Only downside is having the railroad tracks right there. I slept right through the sounds and vibration but for light sleepers, ear plugs will help! I will be back for sure. ”

“We used Hannibal as a halfway meeting point with friends to hang out, visit, and have fun. The only drawback is one small bathroom to shower. Otherwise, all was GREAT. We knew about the bathroom before we booked soooo....”

“Stayed here a total of 10 nights (2 reservations) while our daughter was at Hannibal Regional Hospital recovering from complications of a surgery. We rented the upstairs unit first, (Parlor on Paris) also 2 reservations, but switched to Huck's Hideaway when we realized we would be in town several weeks. Since we were taking shifts & staying with her around the clock, it was the perfect place to relax, refuel & rest. Kitchen was very functional with a great gas stove & full size appliances.……
