“I can't say enough great things! This little cabin was so peaceful, exactly what my dogs and I needed! The place is old but well maintained, just what you would expect in a mountain cabin! The yard was cut and easy to walk my dogs in! There is a fire pit and grill, we didnt use them because my one dog is older and gets cold easily. The location is superb! If you want to check out the activities to the north, easy! Same with activities to the south! We got in 3 good hikes over 2 days. Karen was……

“We loved this house, so much character. The owner was so sweet and helpful. We cooked and ate our meals here (you can even do a grocery pickup at the Kroger which is not far away). We loved listening to the river, and truly just enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back!”

“We had a total of 6 adults & 9 teens. At first, once we arrived we questioned whether we would all fit however it worked perfectly for us. We did use the futons in the living room, host did mention to bring queen size bed sheets. Though not the most comfortable it worked for the 3 adult couples. Overall experience was great. ”

“Everything was as advertised and exceeded expectations. Beds were very comfortable, we had all the amenities we needed, and the location was a perfect base for our New River Gorge adventures! The train tracks are VERY active, but it was expected and didn’t bother us a bit. The back deck was great for bird watching! We saw many different birds, including herons and even a bald eagle. Highly recommended!”

“Clean and newly remodeled. Loved the deck overlooking the river. Enjoyed watching the deer on the little island. Very peaceful. Lots of birds singing. Cool to see the trains pass by. Close To the town Hinton and the Sandstone Fall Nature center. Visited Sandstone Falls , Pipestem and Bluestone lake while staying at this property. Kitchen has everything you need . Has washer and dryer. Had elderly person with us who found it challenging climbing the hill to get to the house. If in the area again……
