“Great location, cottage had everything we needed”

“A fantastic property. Clean and well presented with gorgeous views over the river. Lots of stairs throughout the property and house so if you are less mobile you might need to consider this. Spending time on the back deck fishing and soaking up the sun was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Really convenient Thai restaurant and Cafe next door - great meals. Country Club was a nice spot to have lunch, beautiful views over the lake. ”

“Staying at Lynda and Paul’s property is a unique experience. It goes beyond a very comfortable and clean place to stay with comprehensive facilities, offering an experience of life with a special flock of sheep who happened to be lambing during our visit. Extra special! Other wildlife included echidna and wombats. It is also the site of the old Taralga railway station. Taralga is only 1.5 km away with food options and interesting historical buildings. “Great place to stay for a fishing trip. Nothing beats walking onto your boat to go fishing at 6am and then coming home for a relaxing brunch by the water. Sue is a wonderful host. All the neighbours are friendly and Marks Point has a really strong community. The two local cafe's are both amazing. We did have one small problem with people using the jetty without permission and respect of the guests. Sue managed the issue very well which is all we can ask. ”

Just one small suggestion, an extra lounge chair/ottoman/chaise would have made our stay a little more comfortable so everyone could watch a movie on the couch. “'The Quarters' is lovely accomodation on a mostly horse oriented farm amidst rolling hills and scenery, but it is also conveniently close to Kiama, Gerringong and Berry. It's a property with cattle, sheep and beautiful horses. Hosts Simon and Olwyn were extremely friendly, helpful and very informative on the working of their horses. 'The Quarters' is roomy. quiet and clean with a comfortable bed, and supplied with everything one needs to have an enjoyable and peaceful break away. Don't think……

“It was a very pleasant experience we had. The house is in a beautiful farm, peaceful and quiet. Exactly how we wanted. The house had all the facilities we needed away from home. Very clean and tidy. Alaine, the host was very responsive and was so helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and will be coming again. ”
