“It’s a nice place with tons of outdoor space and lots of water toys to use. along the shore, which was great for swimming and staying out of boat traffic. There are 2 bedrooms, one has a window AC unit and keeps the room nice and cold, however the 2nd bedroom has nothing but a ceiling fan to cool it. If the door was closed to that bedroom it got very hot at night. Other than that it’s a great place to stay and the owner is very accommodating! We enjoyed our stay. ”

“It was just ok. List of issues and inconveniences include: communication with the host was unreliable, a horrible smell the whole stay and asked to check it out but no one to assist on the weekend, hot water tank not plugged in, and toilet seat was falling off. The place was listed as brand new and I want to believe it was but a few things made me question that. Our sheets in one of the bunks were very rough and not soft. The living room with one television could have used another small sofa……

“We have rented from Whitman numerous times and Anchors Away did not disappoint! Float house was clean, had everything we needed. The teens loved the loft. Communication with the marina was excellent including check in / out. The water on Norris is like no other! Counting the days until we can come back!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The houseboat is beautiful with lots of amenities. The owner was very easy to work with and provided lots of valuable information on the property in general, houseboat specifically, and attractions in the area. We loved sitting out on the balcony area watching boats, barges, and all kinds of wildlife float by. The check in process is a little confusing, but that's more because of the way the area is set up. Once you figure that out, it's super easy to get……
