“What a treat it was to stay in this sweet old house. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of it. The bed was comfy, the place was clean and the location- right on the town square- was very fun and convenient. If we ever make it back to Coldspring, we will certainly book this place again!”

“This location is perfect for a getaway. The property is amazing & has many amenities to entertain everyone regardless of what you like doing. The big pedal boat is an absolute must when going out on the lake. I highly recommend anyone trying to get away from the rush of the day to day to come here & experience the views, peace, & beauty.”

“The property was as described. It was clean, had ample space inside and out. Plenty of food options within a short drive. Beds are comfortable and area is quiet. Two negatives - 1. driving down the road to the property made me nervous as a single mom with kids. The property is near a trucking company and a lot of run down properties. 2. There was a german cockroach on one of the beds but we only saw one.”

“We had a great stay. The house is beautiful and was convenient to Dayton. The only negatives are no usable closet in the master bedroom and not enough bath towels even once my sister in law found some in the laundry room. ”

“I had the pleasure of spending Spring Break with my teenage son and two of his friends. It was a perfect location for days of fishing and relaxation. The accommodations were nothing short of perfect, and the owners were more than helpful. The highlight of our stay was definitely the fishing. The boy had been talking and planning to go to Lake Livingston for month with the hope of catching a huge Alligator Gar, and they were not disappointed when they reeled in 74 inch one weighing it at 70lbs.……

Tucked away on a beautiful property, "Off The Beaten Path Country Cottage" is a perfect getaway for solitude and relaxation. The decor is lovely, the grounds are lovely and the host is even lovelier! “Great property, clean and modern ”

“This property is so cute and was just the size we needed for our group. The property itself is very relaxing and if you prefer a more rural feel this is the place. Each space in the cabin is large especially the living room and kitchen and the master suite/bathroom. There is a nice pond with ducks and nice back patio. The owners were very flexible with check in/out times and assisted us with items we accidentally left behind. I would return!”
