“I stayed in the Wood Duck cottage and had an amazing time! Would definitely return. The sound of the rushing water was super peaceful, and the campground was well maintained. I most appreciated the AC/fan at night, the nearby walking trail and the fenced off leash dog park. I was thankful to have the cottage with the shaded deck as the Mallard cottage deck was fully in the sun the entire day. I also wish the VRBO description had indicated to bring my own sheets and towels. It might be important……

“The cottage was modern inside. Kitchen had all new appliances with great storage. The bathroom was nice and the back room was equipped with laundry and all cleaning supplies. The view of the lake from the cottage was amazing. We ate every meal on the deck outside so we could take it in. It was a similar view from the fire pit as well. They allowed us to bring our dog up which made the stay even more memorable. We enjoyed spending the day by the dock. It was a little cold to swim but we could……

It was extremely hot outdoors in the sun but the shade from the trees, roofed back deck over looking the lake, two gazebos and enjoying the lake kept us comfortable and the multi-zone heat pump with indoor units in each room kept us cool inside. “Had an incredible two-night getaway with my wife! The cottage is very nice and clean with everything you need for an off-grid stay! The lake was very quiet and the floating dock was great for swimming. The standup paddle boards were a lot of fun to use! Westport is a nice little town near by if you need to pick anything up. Highly recommend this cottage rental and would book again in the future!”
