“Troy’s cabin is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lake is literally just steps away from the door, and there are lots of windows and doors that look out over the water. A pair of geese with 3 chicks hung out right next to us, as did a mallard duck. The location is handy to many places downeast. Troy was helpful and even brought us some local coffee. We can’t recommend his place enough!”

“Plenty of room for all of us to have some alone time, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful panoramic views. This is a sunny spot, and the weather was perfect all week! It could use another umbrella for shade because the deck is full sun most of the day, but we sat at a picnic table on the shady side of the house to get some reprieval. Charlie delivered lobsters every other day, and at $5/lb we certainly over indulged! The house is older, and has a ton……

“Very quiet house by the sea. The owner is very friendly. He gave each person a lobster and a large box of crabs raised in the sea water. You can catch them for free. If the temperature is good, you can also barbecue on the beach.”

“The location and view are even more beautiful than the photos, and the cottage provides a fascinating glimpse of Maine history. Michelle and her husband were friendly and generous hosts who helpfully answered our questions. The king-size bed in the master bedroom is the most comfortable bed I've experienced. Abundant wonderful hikes and beaches are nearby. We hope to be able to stay here again!”

“We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot……

“PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT. Excellent lakefront property. Hoise is well loved and cared for. Very clean. Plenty of outdoor area to run around. The penisula is a great spot for morning sunrises and catching some photos of loons. Many kayaks to enjoy time on the lake, laumch right fromt the beach. Plenty of indoor activities as well. The owners thought of everything when preparing the home for vacationers. There was not one time cooking that we didnt have what we needed. Kitchen is well stocked……

“This was such an amazing stay, I highly recommend it. Check in was very easy and straight forward. The bathroom was right next to the shed and was very clean inside. We had a bit of a problem with the power, but they fixed it within 5 minutes of me texting them. We had a tour of the farm which was the highlight of my Maine trip. Wish we stayed longer, thank you so much for an amazing/unique stay!! ”

“The house was exactly as shown and is gigantic. There were just two of us but it would be perfect for a party of 10 or more. The deck was lovely to sit out on in the morning and evening as it had a serene lake view. The home had everything you could want from pots and pans, kayaks, games and a lovely welcome gift. It's a close drive to a few restaurants and shops which we frequented each evening.We would absolutely stay here again and the hosts were a delight, too.”

“This was a great little house. It had everything we could need and more. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the Roku TVs work included HBO Max in living room and bedroom were a nice touch too.”

“I was very impressed by this home. It was exactly as presented on VRBO. I enjoyed the view of the bay and watching the lobstermen come and go. The furniture was very comfortable and the house was set up well with anything you may need. My vacation was definitely worth the trip of almost 8 hours. ”
