“Space was very pretty and well maintained. Very comfortable beds and sitting areas, quiet street and GREAT access to the dunes. Added pet fee from their separate website we were unaware of from the original booking. Lost water 2x and electricity through no fault of their own - company was great about responding and communicating ”

“We really enjoyed the property. Even though the house is dated, there are a lot of little perks: beautiful view, extra drinking water, coffee, snacks, and clean white linens. The walk to the beach is a little more strenuous than expected. I would visit here again! ”

“The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.”

“We stayed in the Troll's Den with our family of 4 and it was just perfect. Easy checkin and good amenities. The property manager communicated everything that we needed to know and got us wristbands for the amenities, including paddle boats and playground. It was less than a mile walk to the beach. Lake Michigan was cold because we were there in May, so it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Overall a great trip. The kids keep asking when we can go back.”

“What a cute place! We enjoyed this little cabin in the woods. The inside was adorable and my kids loved it. The outside definitely needs a clean up to make the deck/back patio a little more enjoyable. This is located in the middle of the woods so I understand it's not going to be prestine or anything, the exterior just needs a little TLC. When we came back the second night, the outside flood lights did not turn on so it was very dark. This was a bit of a challenge with two super tired kiddos but……

“We really enjoyed our stay! Just a quick walk to the beach. Easy drives to the state and national parks. Very comfortable place and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and screened in porch every night”

“There was great communication with the owner. Our 7 and 8 year old had a blast in the community with a splash pad, pools, playground, arcade, concert (free) the first night we got there. There is a train that you had to get used to but we adapted. It was our girls first time fishing and they stock the pond every 3 years and we saw lots of people catching fish. The outdoor fire place was stocked with wood. ”

“We had plenty of room for all 17 of us, however, if you have trouble climbing stairs it’s not for you. ”

“The property was fine and clean, but I would not stay there again because the mattresses were VERY uncomfortable. The mattresses in all the bedrooms were very stiff, even my 9 year old commented on it. There were also a few items that felt like they were missing: no hairdryer in the bathroom was the biggest one, but there could be hooks put on the wall in the bathroom to accommodate more towels if you have more than 2.people staying there, and a pair of scissors added to the kitchen utility……
