“The place was very clean and spacious. The location was close enough to the college (MTU) and downtown, and had everything I needed within a short drive. ”

“The home was very clean and had all we needed. We especially appreciate an extra 1/2 bath. The one full bathroom was large with plenty of hooks for the plush towels. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with a Keurig and dishwasher. We had a great stay and would definitely choose this property again if in the area. ”

“This place was absolutely incredible, out in the country, private setting, and the deer come right up to the porch, or you can see them in the forest. Next to you can see the lake from inside and they leave binoculars in there for you to look at the lake . We saw a bug eagle from a many dears.It was awesome .. It's only a few minutes from the lake period very comfy, a lot of room and we will definitely be back”

“We stayed here for my Son's state's Hockey tournament. It was a great house with lots of open spaces for ease of movement to cook and talk. The view was spectacular and it was so much fun to watch the snow storm role in. This house is atop a steep hill so thank goodness my husband had a truck to make sure we could go up and down with the snowfall. The roads got plowed everyday before we left and it was fine. There are no TVs so we had fun playing some card games we brought!”

“Perfect for our visit for MTU winter carnival. Kitchen well stocked , garage with lots of room for any winter gear and loading/unloading car. Pleasantly surprised with quick snow removal each day.”

“Great communication from the owner! Parking was great as we had multiple vehicles. The proper outside doesn’t look great because it’s in an industrial area, but the house was clean and lovely inside! Everything we needed and more. Also it was only minutes away from MTU. DEFINITELY recommend. ”

“The Little Brown House was exactly what we needed. We came up to pick up our son from Michigan Tech. I was very appreciative of the recliners because I have a medical condition in my lower back that causes pain when I have to sit up straight. Having a recliner allows me to be comfortable. The property was very well maintained and clean. My only complaint, and I realize it is just me, is the bed was way to firm for me, just a persal preference. “We had a great short weekend at this property. A couple of things we noticed that brought down the rating just a bit - some of the dishes were put away dirty (seemed to have oil or butter on them) and the dishwasher didn’t seem to get dishes fully cleaned. We also noticed that anytime the stovetop was on it would make the smoke alarms go off (food was not burnt or smoky, it just happened immediately after turning the burners on) unless the stove vent fan was on which was kind of concerning. ”
