“The hotel was buzzing. Our original impression on going to reception to book in wasnt good. My husband speaks Spanish which is good and understandable but the reception lady took one look and phoned for a replacement. A form was thrust into my hand with no explanation (a new government initiative). The questions asked for name and address then further down asked again for address then asked for things that made no sense in either Spanish nor English. Bad start but things got better. Food in the……

“The hotel is convenient for travelling around Burgos, if you don’t want to stay in town. It is, however, undergoing renovation at present which makes it a bit chaotic. The staff are good though, particularly Oumar, the bar and restaurant waiter.”

“The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is located out of town in the fields and it was very quiet. We only heard the birds and frogs when we opened the window. Very nice all in all. Breakfast was included.”
