“The site was perfect located, close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the quietness of the mountains and all the beautiful scenery. Once we parked, we never got in our vehicles again until we left. There is plenty of room for vehicles. We brought one bumper pull trailer that parked at the beginning of the driveway. Our gooseneck got left at the bottom of the hill. None of that will detour us from coming back and staying again! Beautiful property and house! 100% worth it! ”

“The property in Lake Purgatory drive was perfect for our vacation in July. There was a beautiful view of the mountains and hummingbirds that we enjoyed while relaxing on the back deck. Temperatures were perfect as it is about ten degrees cooler than the city of Durango. All of the accommodations were wonderful. The owners original artwork was a unique touch that we enjoyed. “After nearly 2500 miles across country at 100 plus degree temperatures. This retreat exceeded all expectations. The views, the nature, the peace and tranquility, stars galore and all between the old west from John Wayne's yesteryear, and some of the most challenging off-road trails in Colorado leading to old gold and silver mines and abandoned ghost towns. “A beautiful and well equipped log cabin on the side of a mountain. Very comfortable bed! The yard and the flower baskets were well cared for. Saw hummingbirds and Phoenix moths each morning. Turkeys visited a couple of times. We loved the different outdoor sitting areas. The breakfast nook was a special to eat looking out at the beautiful vista. You can also sit in living room and look out and see the mountains. Ouray is known as Little Switzerland of America. Surrounded by majestic mountains.……

“This was, by far, the best girl's weekend you could ask for! The views are stunning. No verbal description or picture can do justice to the real thing, but Rick's description of the property is spot on. They have really thought of everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. I'd like to say it sucked so I could keep this location all to myself, lol, but that would be a lie and a huge disservice to our amazing host! We will be back! Don't know when, but we will be back. “The property was amazing and everything that the listing showed. Very private cabin on the ridge. Everything worked! Multiple grills onsite for meals! The only minor issue is when arriving, there is another house immediately when you turn onto the property.
