“Everything was perfect!”

“Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. ”

“We loved the cottage. A great place and accommodations that we would return to. 2 mile drive to McAfee parking lot and 20 minutes to Roanoke. Decor and vibe is calming. It’s really clean, and well supplied. ”

The house has so many extra touches, including fresh cut flowers from the garden in a vase upon our arrival. Craigs Creek is larger than I expected. I have lived places that this would be called a small river and it is lovely. The property provided canoes and kayaks with paddles and life jackets. We checked in on Friday and Checked out on Sunday. “Came down from Louisville for a long weekend to see family. This was perfect for a couple. A full kitchen, new washer and dryer. We had our friends over one night and had a fire (roasting sticks for smores can be found in the kitchen). We found it very thoughtful that Audrey provided us with an extra dog leash and poop bags. An added bonus was the heating floor in the bathroom!! All around a great weekend away”

It's everything you want in an old farmhouse that has been very well updated from kitchen and bathroom supplies to linens and comforters everything is provided. Outdoor fireplaces and acres to explore. We were there for work but hoping to come back when we have more time to enjoy this beautiful home.”
