“The property itself was a little hard to find, as I was not also expecting it to be attached to someone elses living courters; but with that being said it was not a bad stay. The property inside and out was beautiful for what it is, and was surrounded by woods so you couldn't see the road, so it gives you a cozy feel without being super far away from everything. We got to see a lot of cool birds at the bird feeders outside through the window which was a nice touch I appreciated.”

“My sister and I booked this beautiful site for traveling through New England for her birthday. I recommend this spot for any couple or best friends looking to get away for a little peace, quiet and reconnecting. I read a book, had a camp fire, went kayaking. Took gorgeous pictures and even sat in the hottub without having to step off the property. Maines best kept secret ”

“My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and picked this property because it looked suitable for where we wanted to be from a location standpoint. The room was nice and I think we both enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. The property manager was exceptional in regards to responses while we were there. I don’t think I waited more than a minute or two for her to get back to me on anything. Couple things that I feel could be addressed for the future. Our bed was an air mattress……

“We stayed here for UMO graduation weekend and it was great. Cozy, easy to get to and we walked downtown.Solar Panel powered as well.”

“This cozy and clean cabin in the woods was exactly what we expected. I looked forward to sipping my coffee on the porch every morning, and watching the river flow by. Some excursions we enjoyed include the Bangor Mall, a hike at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge (bring bug spray!), a show at the planetarium at UMaine, and lobster at Pepper’s Landing. Leave your worries behind and kick back at Snow Hill Riverfront Retreat!”

“Overall, it was great! Few little things.. we got in late and we weren't for sure where to go, very dark and no lights on. Little confusing once you get in there because there is a house and 2 buildings on the one property. Had to ask if there was a key to check in or code. But they got back to me very quick every time I had a question. The shower floor is very creaky.. not sure if not enough base under shower. But not that we know where it is and stuff I would def stay there again!”

“Hosts are very nice and responsive. The cottage and grounds are immaculate. Well stocked kitchen with modern appliances. Very comfortable bed. Roomy bathroom and great shower. Good WiFi but no tv. ”
