“Family run hotel. All were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Was will to do anything to assure a perfect stay. The hotel was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Our room was very comfortable. “Great concierge staff. Breakfast was not up to par. Reasonably close to old part of Sulmona but you'll need a car or taxi to get there. Located in an industrial area, nothing nearby to walk to. ”

“My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Il Giardino del Rio and enjoyed every moment. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns. The best thing about the inn, however? Proprietors Davide and Enzo, and Adnan. Each one made us feel like family. We already miss them!”

“The property outside was in very poor condition but the rooms were lovely. All renovated and spotless. Breakfast was very nice with lots of fresh home made options. Wish they would clean up the outside! ”
