“Our stay at Martin Manor was perfect for our family! We were from 3 states, in town to celebrate two graduations at EKU. Loved the historic nature of the home and the spaciousness that gave us plenty of room both to spread out and to congregate as desired. Situated in a pastoral setting, we enjoyed porch time and scenic views on all sides of the house.The owners were kind and helpful well above and beyond what is normally expected. “This was the perfect house for us. The trundle bed in the 2nd bedroom was a nice surprise for our teen boys.”

“Great place”

“Absolutely adorable little cabin nestled directly on the waters edge. A minutes walk from the boat ramp and dock. Very homey feeling, nothing fancy, but more than enough to enjoy a weekend away with the family. It’s close to Shakertown village, and only 45 minutes from Lexington. We spent two nights in “big cabin” the kids loved it. Good WiFi connection, YouTube, and Netflix available. The owner was available and friendly. Several small hole in the wall restaurants close by and of course there……

“The house is large and well decorated ”

“We came in for the Brassband Festival and stayed at the cozy property. In the mornings it was serene and comfortable over looking the lake. The road in and out was a little stressful due to the narrowness of it, but we would stay here again when we come back to the area. ”

“Recently returned from a week's stay: 2 couples, 1 single, and the younger couple's kids (6mo, 9, 12, 15yo) - extended family. The layout of the house was perfect for us, with all BRs & 2 of the full BAs on upper floor, a roomy, well-lit, & sensibly designed (& well-equipped!) kitchen that easily enabled 2 or more of us to be working on meal prep @ same time without tripping over each other, and plenty of dining areas - the main table was large enough to fit us all, so we kept a jigsaw puzzle……
