“We were in town for a wedding, so we added an extra day to explore Harrisburg. The house I chose is river front and at the end of a quiet street. The location could not have been any better, 2 miles from downtown, with a wonderful river view. We spent the day walking along the river and enjoying the nearby park, historical monuments and the local restaurants. The house is older but quaint. “This was our 3rd time renting the ranch house. My husband discovered this amazing place for his Aunt in 2017, who is now battling Alzheimer’s that loved and adored horses. The Farmhouse is a middle location to our family in PA, VA and MD. My husband passed just recently to cancer and it was his 56 birthday and as a family we decided to come together to celebrate at the farm house he loved. “The hosts were wonderful and willing to work with me when I needed a last-minute stay. I even got to feed a baby goat, which was only one of the highlights of this place. “The house was a perfect fit for our group! Several couples and a few singles, there was plenty of room for all to have a bed... the house was layed out so if you needed your own time, you could get away from the group. Plenty of towels and other items in the 3 full bathrooms! We cooked breakfast and dinner... kitchen had all we needed, including spices and all the right pots, pans, dishes, silverware.We broughtt a portable grill but would be nice to have a gas grill and a some patio……

“We were only at the property one night to visit family in town. Home was clean and as described in the photos. The furniture in the living room was a bit worn but that wasn’t big deal to us. The home can accommodate a large group but be aware there is no dishwasher for a large gathering or extended stay.. We did not find street parking but the recommended parking garage was easily accessible and convenient. Host was friendly, responsive and flexible. We would book again and recommend to……
