“Was not able to get to the property due to fire danger so could not rate cleanliness bu but gave good ratings because the host was so helpful and cooperative about refunding our money based on fire risk. So we assume all property was good. ”

“This property is absolutely beautiful. The river runs just below the area and the sound of the water is so nice and calming. They have coffee for the mornings which i truly appreciated! 2 seperate buildings for bathrooms and a separate space with showers (partially outside, rock floors and open roof! Also access to the river with steps made of large rocks. Everyone was helpful and friendly. ”

“Beautiful quaint A frame house which was perfect for our overnight stay. We had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive to any messages and even offered a later checkout if we required free of charge. The horses next door were an added bonus.. Will definitely stay again if visiting the area.. Thank you.”

“We enjoyed the house. It was very clean and comfortable. The views from the house were very nice - you can see the lake from the living room & front area and the mountains from the back yard. The owners were very responsive whenever we asked them questions. The one downside was that the neighbor's dogs barked all the time destroying the lovely peacefulness of the backyard. We did mention this this to the owners and they reached out to the neighbors. The barking decreased after they spoke……

“Had a great stay for a solo fly fishing trip on the Kern River. The property was just I expected based on photos and descriptions. Host communication was clear and helpful. Enjoyed the wood stove and limitless firewood each evening. Would definitely stay here again.”

“The Meadowlands Cottage was a beautiful, serene, cozy place to stay for the night while in Kernville for river rafting trip. The property is expansive and beautiful with no shortage of fun things for kids to do and places to explore. We would love to stay here again next time we come back to Kernville!”
