“We arrived early off the ferry but that was no problem to our hostess. Our apartment was tiny but spotless with a balcony we could sit on and enjoy the amazing view. The downside of this of course is all the stairs! The friendly dogs and cat were a bonus! The location was excellent, walking 5 minutes from the ferry port and the centre of town. ”

“I fell in love with this place the moment I arrived. The hosts were amazing and kind hearted. It felt like home away from home. The view from the hotel was breathtaking, overlooking the Sea and the Isle of Tragonisi. The beach, Petra, is within walking distance and so are several restaurants. The cook was a wonderful woman, and provided a large breakfast buffet full of choices: cereal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, breads, cakes, cookies, nuts, milk, water, coffee, juice. “Byzance Hotel is a wonderful little hotel in the middle of Skala. My room did not offer views but it did offer a clean room, hospitality, and comfort. “I booked this stay on the spur of the moment, and the hotel staff was excellent from the very first - especially Eirini, who was very helpful, flexible, and understanding (sailboats don’t always do what we want!). The room was stunning, spotlessly clean, lavishly stocked, and boasting great views. The breakfast was superb - huge menu, delivered and set out beautifully on our balcony. ”
