“The house is in a neighborhood about halfway up one of the mountain roads from the town of Orosi. Overall, it's a fantastic house very comfortable for our party of 4. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and visit in the late afternoons. The kitchen was adequately equipped with coffee maker, microwave, range, fridge. We mostly ate breakfast and brought take out dinners during our stay. The views of the Orosi Valley from the dining area and porch are amazing! Vernon was available and……

“There will not be enough beautiful things to say about Casa Sofia. The location is incredible. Situated on a rural farm 5 minutes from a major city – yet the mountain views and quiet setting make it feel like you are far from the hustle. Vera, the property owner, is kind and friendly and check-in/check-out were easy and seamless. Her home is beautiful – well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom with natural light in the shower. “If you want to be mire ir less off the geid in the mountains with spectacular views, this place is great. We made the trip in a small Hyundai, but I would recommend a car with a little more clearance if you have it. Views are amazing and the place is super quiet. Greay patio to enjoy everything.”

“The friendly owner showed pride in the condition of his few cabins and was very helpful in showing us some birding areas. We also went on a trip looking for a specific bird as well. I had nice view from the private deck of the furthest cabin. The wifi was a bit spotty in a rain storm but I suspect most people have full time data on their phones. It was a good comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price with tv and hot water and low cost meals were available if needed. Lots of birds on……
