“This modern cabin was very comfortable, clean and well-located. It is small but very comfortable. Everything in it -- from the bed to kitchen to heating and bathroom were top notch. It was very easy to return there after a day spent on the Lake and in the Mt. Lassen area. Also, while there has been a lot of fire damage in surrounding forests, this part of the lake thankfully escaped all of that. ”

“Great location close to the lake, but had to travel to a nearby beach to actually access it. Right next to golf course but you wouldn’t even know it. Peaceful and quiet. Relaxing stay. House pretty much matched the description except that there was a foosball table , not a pool table. Overall we were very happy with it.”

“Nice house, close to the rec centers to play. I didn’t know it was a tri-level which I feel like is important to know if I had crawling kids or someone who would have trouble with stairs to get to a bedroom or bathroom. For charging $200 for cleaning, the house wasn’t clean (trash under the bed, toothpaste marks on counter, exploded coke in freezer etc) when we arrived and we were in charge of bringing our own towels, removing all of our trash after the weekend and then stripping and starting……

“This was our 5th year staying in the Peninsula. This year was cabin 7 which is very spacious & beautiful. When we go each year in mid October its always so quiet. Best getaway ever. Highly recommend Beautiful”

“This is a perfect lake house to share summer fun with family. With its private dock and private beach we were able to conveniently gather at the lake each day without ever having to drive. Just a few steps from the house and you could access the lake! The house is tastefully decorated, equipped with everything you would need. The hot tub and deck were a great place to relax in the evenings. The owner of the property and host were both responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely rent……

“This was the perfect trip! Two families easily shared the space. Cabin was well stocked, a short walk to Red Onion and the market. We will definitely stay here again!”

“We had a delightful time in this home!! We were greeted by a wonderful basket of goodies, slept in comfy beds and enjoyed the small touches of hospitality throughout the bedrooms/bathrooms. Everything was super clean with new flooring throughout !! We enjoyed sitting outside under the pines while our pup could wander around wherever she wanted in the large fenced backyard. We will definitely return!! A five star place for sure!!”

“It was decent. Bed was comfy and owner was easy to get a hold of when there was some confusion about water heater. Took me a bit to figure out how to get hot water. Stove was out of order, but grill outside was very ni e. There ere dishes proved but no way to clean them. My biggeat advice would be to.put in a bigger bathroom sink .”

“Overall, it was a lovely place to stay, with one exception. The bed in the office/bedroom was unacceptable. It is a foam mattress with no box springs or support slats. Also, it is not the bed shown in the photos on the ad.”

“Loved everything about this lodge! All the comforts of home and then some! The peaceful location was a nice reset for all of us. My daughter and I enjoyed each of the little windowed reading books and we had awesome family game nights on the screened-in back deck. The fire pit saw some s’mores on a “chilly” night as well! A family of 6 found it easy to retreat to a quiet space in the cabin. Jan is a fantastic host - always quick to respond if I had any questions.”

“Had a great time at the property. Plenty of room. Great recreation opportunities - Golfing and hiking. Chester is a fun little town. Not all the crowds you get in many other areas”
