“The view is STUNNING. We stayed for a week and a half and had everything we needed. Cooking utensils, cleaning products, laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. The house was fully stocked which was an excellent surprise. Only thing we needed to truly bring was personal toiletries. Our two boys (3 and 5) LOVED the trundle bed upstairs and thought it was so fun to sleep together. My husband and I slept in one of the downstairs rooms and had enough room for a pack-n-play for our infant to sleep with……

“My family of 24 people (age ranges 1-70) stayed for one week at this wonderful rural property with pastoral views from an expansive deck. The evenings were serenely quiet and the days were filled with activities. We enjoyed petting Lucas the llama and the horses/donkey as well as viewing the peacocks. The equisitely historic town of Galena is a short drive away with plenty of shopping, eateries and tours. We biked along the Galena biking trail about 7 miles one way to Chestnut Mountain from……

“Booked on a whim to get away for a couple nights along the Mississippi and this seemed like the right fit. We weren't looking for anything extreme, just something comfortable and near the water. This certainly checked the boxes! The host was wonderful and very accommodating to allow us to bring our pup along for the fun. Close to some great wineries and breweries. If you've never experienced the Mississippi River's unique tempo, this is perfect. The train trestle was visible right from the back……

“Well-appointed, beautifully decorated home-it was great for our family get-together. Bright, spacious space. Just step out on the screened porch to see deer across the pond, listen to birds or bullfrogs. We also enjoyed the rocking chairs on the covered porch downstairs while our child played on the sandy beach in front. The foosball table downstairs was a family fave as was the catch and release fishing in the lake. Great communication with responsive host.Pro tip: grab groceries at Sullivans……
