“Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. Not quite as lively as on Friday, but still a lot of fun on Thursday night.) The pool and breakfast were……

“We were greeted with a warm welcome, the apartment is very clean and it has everything you could possibly need. A taxi was arranged for us from the airport which was so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The restaurants, especially Oro, were excellent. We did not like the hard sand beach (not soft Caribbean) and very rough surf that made going in the ocean unpleasant.”

My only gripe is that there were not enough sun beds and towels, they should have a rule that if you have not used your bed or towel in an hour you loose the bed as many people would put towels on a bed as early as 7 am and not use the bed until way after lunch. ”

“Wonderful hotel in a great location on the south coast of Barbados. Calabash restaurant has great food, and the hotel has two lovely pools (one adults only, complete with in-pool bar seats for the pool bar).”

“Close to the beach and boardwalk and great places to eat. Staff are lovely and helpful. Place seems to have regulars that stay a few weeks which creates a nice community. Quiet and comfortable. Nice size room - ours had an efficiency but did not use it as only there one night. Nice pool and comfortable chairs to lounge in. Really enjoyed our stay. ”
