“It was a surprise trip for hubby. As we pulled up to the gates, he let out a huge WOW, I did too. The lady that greeted us and showed us around was lovely. Our room, the Nest, was beautiful as was the rest of the castle. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and met other members of staff, they were lovely. It was like being in a fairy tale. “We had comfortable stay at the Grove. The room at first glance looked very nice but on further inspection it was not as clean as I would expect. It was dusty around lights, including the bedside light. The bathroom had a strong damp smell as the shower curtain was discoloured as it hadn’t been washed or changed in a good while. The decorative mirror had black mould in the carved white surround. The staff were helpful, especially the member of staff on duty at breakfast. She was great. The……
