“Treasured family traditionThis was my 5th time staying at the Bensons' cabin. As always, it was amazing. We live only a half hour or so away, but don't have our own lake place. Our annual stay at Clearwater provides us many northern Minnesota lake memories. We especially love rowing and stand up paddle boarding, and my girls have really gotten into fishing the past couple of years (this time my older daughter added a nice bass to our sheetpan seafood "boil"). “Beautiful cabin, with everything you need and more. Great private swimming beach, great fishing. Will come and stay again. Adults, grandchildren, and dogs all had a great experience. All you need to bring is your clothes, and food. ”

“The tent cabin is really cute and was comfortable for a family of four. We used the sauna and also rented the boat for a couple of days. It is on the steep driveway, which isn’t a problem for us since our car is four-wheel-drive, but you will want to avoid driving to the bottom if you have a 2 Wheel Dr. car. Be aware that the lakefront is not swimmable because of high vegetation, but the lake itself is beautiful and great to take a boat on. Close to Grand Rapids and many other activities. ”

“Wonderful owner- she's at the bigger house on site but she very much gives you privacy. The beach is loaded with anything you'd need, tubes, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, chairs, fire pit, etc. And has a wonderful sandy beach. The location is super private and quiet but close to town. Pokegama lake is great for fishing, tubing skiing. Water is clear. Cabin is good, has everything you need, bedrooms don't have doors but two have curtains and that works just fine. “Overall the property was great. We got 4" of rain one day which I know is alot, but from that point on the property from the decks to the water was saturated with water coming up from the soil. After a couple days it began to smell bad, but that's what happens. ”
