“Overall we enjoyed our stay at Makali. It took us a while to feel “at home” in the villa for a couple of reasons; however, once we got used to these things and felt comfortable after the first 48 hours. Pros: 1. Great pool (although we were told it was freshwater but it stung our eyes so not sure that’s true) 2. Great large rooms and comfy beds 3. Fantastic couch 4. Great massage service at reasonable pric Cons: 1. The showers have large windows with plants outside however there are gaps……

“We spent 4 nights in Enigma Villas and everything was amazing. Lani has been great, helped us booking a scooter and facilitated all our needs. The villa is spacious and close to Canggu beach but away from the crazy crowds with supermarkets, laundry facilities, restaurants close by. ”

“Rosalia villas (new name) are great! Big villa with a private pool, and its all in good condition. Located in Pererenan which is a nice and quieter part of Canggu. Plenty of great restaurants (I recommend Woods and Origen restaurants) and stores are very close by. The staff at the villas were fantastic. I highly recommend this villa ”

“Plus: the rooms are really nice in a typical Bali Villa set up. first disappointment: right after the booking I receive a msg with options what I could spend my money on while there. ok :( arrival date not possible to chance. ok :( super helpful to arrange early-check in :) 1 out of 3 bungalows (not villas please) not as described - it's squeezed with a wall right in front of it with a path everyone else is using to pass by. I did not plan to be on a stage :( all conversations behind that……

“Staying at Mundaka Villa was a pleasure, will definitely be back! The hosts were amazing and we were well looked after. Recommend staying here if you are after something relaxing and quiet yet still well within the rich Canggu culture and eateries :D ”

“Really nice place and property manager was very responsive. The only feedback specific to the place would be to consider adding long life milk to enable having a coffee. The surrounding area whilst it had several good eating places, there’s still aot of building works to navigate around…so maybe a year off from feeling more of a hub.”

“This was our 1st “Villa Vacation” and exceeded our expectations which were high. La Brisa and The Lawn were great escapes as was Woods for lunch by scooter in between lazy poolside days. Walkable supermarket and laundry nearby. Tappo Seafood resto good value and ambient. Casa Eatalia delivered great pasta. In the 1 bedder there is no kettle*, microwave, toaster or TV (we brought a mini-projector). Aircon works great except in the bathroom which needs a retractable clothesline above the bath.……

"Good saty. Very close to the beach and many restaurants around there. However, it's a bit far from the city center."

Wonderful Stay

"We had a wonderful stay at La Reserve. The service is immaculate. From the time I have confirmed my reservation, the rest of the arrangements are taken care of including hotel transfer, early breakfast and so on. The hotel even provides buggy service that takes us to nearby places. The staff extremely attentive, remembering our preferences from day 1. I love the all day breakfast concept making it extremely flexible especially for travellers with unpredictable schedule. Their a la carte menu for lunch/dinner though simple but food is of very high standard. We contemplated going out for our dinner on the last night but eventually decided to stay with them simply because we know we will be very well taken care of and we were right. Love this hotel and would undoubtedly return! "
